does this gun run when you not shooting or does it have something like eyes so it only runs when u shoot?

If you have paintballs in the hopper and and you are not shooting then obviously the hopper will not run because there is nowhere for the balls to go. It is not loud and the batteries last for a long time unlike the halo b which eats batteries like crazy. It feeds 23 bps and is a cheap hopper that works great and is fast.
