Army Ranger?
Hi, i want to join the Army at age 18 and go Army Ranger-Airborne for 4 years and get college money. Then i want to do something with computers or history. how do Army Rangers work and can you join at age 18?
And if i decided to stay army...how much would someone with a highschool education make...i hear they make Shi*t but you have ALOT of benifits
well what you can do is the summer after your 12th grade year before your freshman year in college you can go to bootcamp then the summer after that you would go to AIT(advanced individual training). The summer after that you can go to airborne school and RIP(ranger indoctrine program) Then when you graduate you will go to OCS(officer candidate school) then you'll be commissioned as an officer. Finally after all that you will go to Ranger school and then you'll be an Airborne Ranger.
In college if you do ROTC(reserve officer training corps) you can get a military scholarship, they'll pay for tuition, dorm, books etc.
and dont worry about getting sent over seas while in college, you'll have in your contract that your still in school and they won't send you over until you out of college.
PS- get Option 40 contract, it ensures that you will go to RIP(which you have to do to go ranger)
